Velocity Control Choke - JVS Model VVC
- Size available from 1" to 12".
- Pressure rating: 2000, 3000, 5000, 10000, 15000 psi and ANSI classes up to 4500#.
- Body/bonnet materials like carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, nickel alloy and low alloy steel with 3mm finish nickel alloy cladded on wetted areas to suit different service conditions.
- VVC trims are custom designed and manufactured to provide application solutions.
- Plug and Cage, External Sleeve, Positive and Special VVC trims are interchangeable in a standard valve body
- Accurate 'micrometer' style position indicator for manual valves.
- Linear non-rotating stem movement optimizes stem packing life.
- Blow out proof stem.
- Bolted bonnet with Metal to Metal bonnet seal provides long life and reliable sealing
- Cartridge style trim installation uses no internal threads or special tools - easing field maintenance.
- Pressure balancing (in larger sizes/higher pressures) reduces operating torque.
- Range of actuators and mounting kits for ease of automation.
- Spring energized lip seals with scrapers and bearings used for dynamic seals enhance reliability of stem packing and pressure balance sealing
- Enlarged body gallery maximizes flow capacity and minimizes body & outlet erosion.
- In-Line (Globe) type body available.
- VVC chokes available in 'Over Plug' flow direction or 'Under Plug' for clean gas VVC Trim.
- Centre to face distance can be manufactured as per customer requirement. However JVS has standard dimensions as per best industry practice.
- Velocity control disc stack type which is suited to the application such as water damping. Where low atmospheric pressure results in very high "pressure drop ratio" across the choke and consequently a single stage trim would experience very sever cavitation.
- This design splits the flow into series of channels and each channels of flow is passed through restrictions and expansion chambers where fluid is swirled and made to loss energy until the pressure is reached to atmospheric.
- By application of taking pressure drop over multiple stages, cavitation is eliminated.
